The mission of GSEE (The School of Geo-sciences and Environmental Engineering) is to establish an educational program, grades 4 – 12 with enhanced courses in the geo sciences and environmental studies within an interdisciplinary curriculum. Every student that attends GSEE will be afforded a basic academic grounding in chemistry, biology, and math, combined with core courses addressing environmental and earth appreciation and preservation.

The highly enriched curricula along with thematic threads of earth appreciation, scientific exploration and conservation will generate a passion among students to help solve the world's natural crisis's, i.e., global warming, energy alternatives, earth erosion, etc. In addition, highly skilled and devoted teachers will disseminate new tools, methods, knowledge, and technologies that promote, enable, and support environmental, economic, and societal sustainability principles.

The GSEE School will serve a major role in the world's energy future due to the earth's limited supplies of fossil fuels - such as gas, oil and coal - and to help mitigate the effects of the global warming. Schools of environmental, ecology, and geosciences have been increasingly important since the increasing concern for alternative energy usage and global preservation.

GSEE will prepare its students in understanding the interaction between the earth's geology, atmosphere, oceans, biosphere and human responses and roles in this complex interplay through a rigorous curriculum of science and math; at the same time investigating solutions while exploring the factors and forces that shape our world and environments in which we live.
